Clara

Updated this week

What is Clara AI?

Clara AI is QuickerNotes’ AI-powered documentation assistant designed to help providers spend less time writing notes and more time focused on patients.

Clara works by transcribing a recorded patient visit and generating a structured clinical note that fits directly into your existing QuickerNotes workflow. Providers remain fully in control of reviewing, editing, and approving all documentation before it is saved to the patient chart.

Clara is a documentation support tool — it does not replace clinical judgment or provider responsibility.

What Clara AI Does

Clara helps with the documentation process, specifically:

  • Records a patient visit (with patient consent)

  • Transcribes the conversation

  • Generates a structured clinical note (e.g., SOAP-style)

  • Allows providers to review and edit the note before saving

  • Integrates directly into the patient chart in QuickerNotes

The goal is to reduce the time spent typing or dictating notes after visits.

What Clara AI Does Not Do

To set clear expectations, Clara AI does not:

  • Make clinical decisions

  • Diagnose patients

  • Automatically save notes without provider review

  • Replace provider responsibility for chart accuracy

  • Act independently without provider initiation

All notes generated by Clara must be reviewed and approved by the provider before being finalized.

How Clara Fits Into Your Workflow

Clara is designed to fit naturally into how clinics already use QuickerNotes.

A typical workflow looks like this:

  1. Provider starts a recording at the beginning of the visit

  2. The patient visit proceeds as normal

  3. Provider stops the recording at the end of the visit

  4. Clara generates a draft clinical note

  5. Provider reviews and edits the note as needed

  6. Provider saves the final note to the chart

Nothing is saved automatically, and providers always maintain full control over the final documentation.

Provider Responsibility

Clara AI is a documentation assistance tool.

Providers are responsible for:

  • Obtaining appropriate patient consent before recording

  • Reviewing all AI-generated notes for accuracy

  • Editing notes as needed

  • Ensuring documentation meets clinical, legal, and regulatory requirements

This is no different than using dictation tools or templates — the provider remains accountable for the final record.

Is Clara AI Required?

No. Clara AI is optional.

Clinics can choose:

  • Which providers use Clara

  • When Clara is used

  • Which visits are recorded

Providers can continue documenting manually in QuickerNotes at any time.
