Billing and Diagnosis codes can be inactivated from the settings page where they are created and edited. Once a code has been deactivated, it will no longer show up when you search for codes to add to notes.
Inactive codes will remain attached to any notes they have already been added to and will be displayed in red. Inactive codes on historical notes will not affect the printed results and do not need to be changed or removed.
