Text Notes let you create flexible, free-form SOAP notes in QuickerNotes. You can type your own content, insert macros, copy from previous notes, add images with annotations, and include CPT/ICD insurance codes.
Create a Text Note
You can create a Text Note in three locations:
1. From an Appointment
Open the client’s appointment page.
Click New Note → Text Note.
2. From the Client Profile (Appointments tab)
Open the client’s profile.
Go to the Appointments tab.
Select the appointment → New Note → Text Note.
3. Create an Unlinked Note
Unlinked Notes are always Text Notes.
Open the client’s profile.
Go to the Unlinked Notes tab.
Click New Unlinked Note.

Build Your Note Content
Inside a Text Note, you can:
Type directly
Insert a macro
Copy from previous notes
Add images
Insert a Macro (formerly Templates)
Click Macros.
Select one or more macros to insert.
Edit as needed.

Copy From Previous Notes (History)
Copy options only appear when your Text Note is in Draft.
Open a draft Text Note.
Click History (top-right).
Choose:
Copy Notes
Copy Codes
Copy Both

Add Images to Text Notes
Insert an Image
Click the Image button in the note editor.
Choose an image to insert.
Annotate an Image
Click the Edit Image icon.
Add drawings, labels, or shapes.
Click Done.
Image Manager
Use the Image Manager to upload and manage reusable images.

Add CPT & ICD Codes
Text Notes are the only note type that support insurance codes.
Open a Text Note.
Expand the Insurance Codes panel.
Search for CPT or ICD codes.
Add codes; adjust CPT units as needed.
Codes added here appear on printed notes and superbills.

Tray
Add to Tray
Click Add to Tray in an open Text Note.
The item stays visible at the top of the screen as you navigate.

Sign & Complete
Finish your content.
Click Sign & Complete.
The note becomes read-only, but you can still add addendums.

Reset to Draft
To edit a completed note (with permission):
Go to Dashboard → SOAP Notes.
Locate the note.
Click Reset Draft.
This removes cosigners and unlocks the note.

Addendums
You can add addendums to completed notes.
Scroll to the bottom of a completed note.
Click Add Addendum.
Save your update.
Addendums are timestamped and can be deleted when the note is reset to Draft.

Permissions
Your role must include the appropriate Notes permissions under:
Settings → Roles & Permissions → Notes
