What's the difference between a Mindbody Owner & Staff account?

When logging into QuickerNotes, you'll always want to use your Staff credentials, as that is who the appointments are being scheduled with. No clients can book an appointment with your owner account.

The following information comes directly from Mindbody to explain the difference between the two account types:

Owner login:

The owner login is unique. There is only one owner login issued per site and it has full control over the software. Moreover, only the owner login is permitted to make certain changes to the software, such as updating payment information for the Mindbody subscription, modifying third-party API integrations, and managing the Marketing tools.

For a full list of owner-exclusive permissions, visit Mindbody's Permissions unique to the owner login article.

Things to know:

1. If you choose to create a separate staff profile in the software, make sure each profile has a distinct email address as a username.

2. If the owner login has the same email address as a staff login or consumer account, the system does not recognize the login as that of the owner.

3. Learn more in Mindbody's How to reset your owner password article.

Staff login:

Using staff permissions, staff logins can be granted many of the same capabilities as the owner login. Staff permissions are divided by group, and then assigned to each staff member based on their role in your business. This often means that staff permissions take a hierarchical form, with each group formed according to the level of access required: For instance, you may have a level for managers, another level for practitioners, and then a final level for front desk staff.
