The Live Transcript Panel allows you to capture speech in real time and review the transcript as it streams.
Start a Recording
Click the Clara sparkle icon in the header.
Choose a recording mode:
Record Session → Multi-speaker conversation
Dictate Notes → Single-speaker dictation
Click Start Recording.
During Recording
While recording, you can:
Use Pause, Resume, and Done controls.
View live transcript segments with timestamps.
Click Scroll to Latest if you have scrolled upward.
Note: If the browser tab goes into the background, recording will pause automatically for safety.

Using Transcript Only
After recording (or when pasting/uploading a transcript), you can choose Transcript Only when generating.
This option:
Cleans up the raw transcript
Organizes the content into a structured note
Generates documentation without applying a Clara Template
This is ideal when you want a polished version of what was said without template-based formatting.
Review the Transcript Later
You can review transcript content at any time:
Go to AI Scribe → Jobs.
Locate the job you want to review.
Click the three vertical dots next to the job.
Select Preview Note.
This allows you to view the generated content before applying it.
Apply Completed Jobs
For completed jobs, you can:
Apply to Note (replace existing draft content)
Append (add to the bottom of a progress note)
Open Preview Content before applying
All generated content should be reviewed before finalizing.
Interrupted Recording Recovery
If a session is interrupted, Clara will offer:
Resume Recording
Use As-Is
Discard
Audio and transcript data are temporarily preserved so you can continue after a refresh or interruption.
